I'm lucky here in Pittsburgh sometimes...
So at noon I get to watch OSU beat Miami, OH. on ABC
At 3:30 they are carrying my school playing tsun. That's right MY Northern Illinois Huskies are taking on scUM. I'll be rooting them in....but alas it won't happen.
----------side note: Since the bpbook is down I can't follow up with my info on this game. To keep it succinct, NIU is going to go down, and they are going to go down hard. This is the weakest of their teams in the last 3-4 years.
Their Defense is YOUNG and inexperienced. New QB. New WR's. They have about 10 combined catches between them.
Bright spots - RB. O-Line.
Trivia ?. Who returns the leading ground gaining duo in the country?
That's right NIU. Wolfe and Harris. Wolfe pounded it out for 1,600 and didn't even start the beginning of the year. That was Harris' job until an early injury.
Their O-Line is solid w/ a couple pro prospects and some all MAC talent.
Their only chance is to pound, pound, pound the football. Eat mucho clock and try to keep it close.
I hate to say it but take scUM and give the 18 1/2 points. This one looks like a 45-13 game to me.
But I'll be rooting them in regardless.
After that its Pitt vs ND. I'm pulling for Pitt even though I'll have to hear about it all over t.v. and radio. Can never root for ND.
Well maybe if they played scUM. Tough call but I'd root for a unsatisfying tie.
