2025 TX WR Dakorien Moore (LSU Decommit)

Guess will be Hartline's 'proof is in the pudding' talk, versus the Texas stable of QBs, and their oil money. We might get outpriced here folks. As someone said, we've got a puncher's chance. I'm thinking his heart is at tOSU, but he'll swing down south, stay home, and pocket some loot. And even so, it'll be a battle up to signing day, whomever gets the nod. Go Bucks!

Stable of qb’s at Texas? They lose Ewers before Moore gets to campus, have Arch Manning for a year maybe two, and a freshmen that was the 16th ranked qb in the 24 class. No qb they sign in ‘25 will be better than our guy who may be top overall in country. Their current commit is ranked 10ish in the class while TSC is 1/2. Ohio State’s qb room is far superior. Other than $$, it is also significantly easier to get from Dallas to Austin than it is Dallas to CBus. I think he got some love at the posted track meet above from the university and probably some cash by some boosters that made it seem exciting. I’m sure he will make the best decision for himself, but need him back on campus, which we get to do in 2 weeks.

Let’s be honest, with NIL there is no excuse with affording flights. A kid as good as Moore will get a deal to easily fly himself and whomever he chooses to Cbus as much as humanly possible. OSU collectives are not messing around, NIL deals will not be an excuse if OSU doesn’t land Moore, imo

Your highlight of my $$ wasn’t in regards to the expenses of travel, it was in regards to the OP about being outbid. My point is flying is a pain in the rear. I’d much rather drive the 3 hours from Dallas to Austin than fly to Columbus 8 times a year. All I’m saying is, there are benefits to being close to home so I wouldn’t say his decision is solely on $$$. I honestly see us winning this one, but would understand if he chose UT.

Bolded is exactly what I was thinking. Can't blame a kid for staying home. But can't blame fans for wanting home to be Cbus. This is a true recruiting war, I am sure we are using the warchest accordingly.
