Urban F. Meyer (Former OSU, CFB and NFL coach)

On Meyer note. I would get treatment in between the end of the season and the bowlgame he doesn't look himself on the sidelines.
Yeah if this continues, he should retire so he can focus on health. Poor guy experiences agony. Hope he can get more treatment to relieve it because I'd love to have coach around several more years .

Don't get me wrong.......I always want the Buckeyes to win, preferably by a blowout. But of all the the "Games" I've had the privilege to watch, I want the Buckeyes to win this one more than anything. After all the crap that Urban Meyer was put through by the media, the president, the BoT and a few fair weather fans, he deserves a "W".

Give 'em hell, Coach! :oh: :urban2:

Only realistic changes I see are Davis if he finds a job elsewhere. Schiano won’t be leaving because of brand name, LJ is good, Grinch has a year of 2 year commitment. Offensive side I think Day/Wilson will be fine, Hartline should get full time, Stud is close to the hot seat if not on it already and Alford will likely stay. Would be great to see Chris Ash come back and build into a DC role later on our secondary played very well and forced turnovers with him here but I doubt that happens.

I don't like to see Chris Ash going through such tough losses at Rutgers. Maybe he has to re-evaluate his coaching staff to find out where the problems lies on why so many losses that he is experiencing.

He should hire coaches away from the premier team in his conference. Maybe a LB coach and an OL coach to help turn the corner.

It would be beyond belief if Schiano is retained. The defense has been an abomination. Most schools would have axed him by now or at season's end. Meyer needs to do the right thing and put his allegiances aside.

I will just throw this out there for Schiano; he was the same guy running the same scheme in '16 and '17. He didn't just all of a sudden forget how to coach and become completely incompetent.

A couple of key position coach changes clearly aren't working out for whatever reason (none of us know), the talent is just down in the back 7 and Nick Bosa went out in week 3.

Schiano is a top shelf recruiter, I'd hate to see him run out of town on a rail if he isn't actually the problem.

I absolutely think defensive staff changes are needed. I am not so sure it's as clear cut as "fire Schiano".

Agreed. He’s been a constant in the mix. What hasn’t been a constant is the change in position coaches. And there’s something else we will never know, which is the extent of his active coaching / scheme design before and after.

Either way, while Urban May have some two year deal thing with assistants, I’m sure that involves some assumption regarding performance of said coaches groups.

We’ll see what happens. I’m guessing that the only ‘encouraged’ exit is Davis. GS will likely try to find something on his own. My guess is he will be successful in doing so. Grinch? Too new to push out and up until this year had shown a lot of promise. Taver? Dunno...

Of course LJ is clearly not in the discussion for replacement.

This is what is baffling to me. We didn't see this shit show last year or the year before. We did have Fick two years ago but not last year. These players may not be as good as some from a couple of years ago, but some may be better too at certain spots. There is no reason we should see such a difference in performance, it is just an enormous gap. The talent is not that far off.
I do not understand why he is doing things we see them doing? Why he hasn't made adjustments because he watches more film than we do and sees more than we do. WTF is going on? Get back to some basic shit man.
