Miami fans are hands down the worst in the country. I cannot believe some of the things those people say about their own players on Grassy (a site is a complete embarrassment to their program)! I really don't know what draws recruits to that school other than location. I would hate to play for those fans, in front of a not-so-near capacity crowd in a stadium that's not even on campus, and for a team that's known as Thug U. :2004:

Sorry, Wolf.

Larry Coker's Future @ Miami

Following their schooling by JT and the tOSU squad in the Fiesta bowl Coker et al have back to back seasons well below the lofty expectations of the 'Cane faithful.

How long does Coker have on his contract, I wonder? Miami's a private institution so details are scant. SI.com reported last year that his contract was good through 2006.

I wonder if he can hang in there through 2005. Miami does not lack talent, what they do lack is commitment. Their squad routinely performs below expectations. At some point the finger-pointing will go right in Coker's direction.

Right now the 'Cane fans seem to be taking this latest defeat to VT with mixed emotions. The early whining and crying is balanced by some more moderate (true) fans. Frankly, I can't see that lasting though.

A loss in their bowl game (the team didn't show up scenario), or another weaker than desirable performance next year and Cokers ass is grass.

Postscript: This is exactly what Miami deserves for fleeing one conference with the aim of beating all-comers in the ACC (plus the exposure / money). Thought it would be cozy - tough titty. This will go down as the biggest underestimation of schedule difficulty since Penn State's fans bragged on how they would whip up on the B10. Next year their other nemesis BC joins ranks with the ACC. Plus you get that whole SEC or B12 type "eat your own children" scenario going with a championship game to cap a season. The hill to climb for a Miami x-0 record is becoming steeper and steeper.

Wow, what a... good... idea...

Wow, what a... good... idea... :roll2: I would have liked to see it.

A recent Virginia Tech graduate who planned to crash the University of Miami’s tunnel run-through at Saturday’s game will not be allowed to go through with his plans.
Travis Kuhn, a 2001 alumnus, purchased tickets to tomorrow’s game on e-Bay from Miami. The tickets included one pass to run through the smoke-filled tunnel onto the field with Miami’s players.
“I was going to wear a Miami jersey and then when I got onto the field, I was going to show my Tech jersey from underneath and run toward the Tech bench as fast as I could,” Kuhn said.
Kuhn said that he was a little bit anxious about running through the tunnel in a mass of Miami football players, but he decided that it was worth going through with it.
“He was actually quite scared, but he decided to do it anyway,” said 2002 Tech alumnus Eric Bowman.
A friend of Kuhn, Bowman said he had plans to purchase the other football/tunnel-run ticket in the online bid. Bowman and Kuhn put their idea on online message boards asking for pledges from other Tech fans. The final winning e-Bay bid was nearly $1,280 and was won by Kuhn and Bowman. However, the pair was discovered to be Tech fans by e-Bay, said Ross Bjork, Miami associate athletic director.
