vBet: LeBron's pts vs Knicks tonight

According to ESPN, it's the second most points ever in a triple-double, only exceeded by Wilt Chamberlain's 53 in 1968.

Only the fifth ever 50-point triple-double.

Yet Screamin' A. Smith is saying that Kobe's performance was better than LeBron's.

How many 60 point games have there been? [just rhetorical, Bill, no need to look it up :p]

How many 50 point triple doubles? Oh, only 5 in the history of the game? Well LeBron's wasn't that impressive at all. :roll2:

52-11-10 is far better than 61-0-3.

Shouldn't you get at least one rebound by accident if you get enough minutes to get 61 points?

If LeBron jacked up 7 more shots instead of passing to a teammate for an assist he would've had 61 no problem.

I think there have been exactly 60 60-point games. You may like this article:

Well, it's no longer a triple-double, as the NBA reviewed the game tapes (a normal procedure) and switched a rebound to Ben Wallace.

accept, it wasn't Ben Wallace's rebound....I'm not sure how anyone can conclude that was Bens' board?? He bobbled the ball and never controlled it. If I bobble a pop-up in baseball, and someone else catches, who records the out?

It seems really petty and ridiculous....even if it actually was Bens' rebound. But the fact that they changed the ruling, and are 100% wrong in their judgement, makes it even worse....

Exactly, Ben wasn't even in position to grab it, he just tipped it and LeBron got both hands on it. Just adds fuel to the fire with Mo getting snubbed yet again.

That's fine though. Mike Brown can start LeBron and quickly sub in Pierce, Ray Ray, and Lewis, and keep Garnett and Howard in there the entire game.

Here's to the Lakers getting dick smacked on Sunday!!!
