High School vBook: Canton McKinley vs Massillon

We'll see how good these coaches are. What makes it tough for the winner in a rematch is that they are inclined to go with what won for them the first time. That makes it easy for the loser - who knows they need to change - to prepare.

We will see if Cross 'crosses' them up or if he just feels he has the horses to just knock heads. I'm a Canton fan but it is hard to believe they are so much better than Massillon as the first score indicated.

I see Canton winning, but it will be alot closer this time around. But also remember the first meeting was played at Massillon. This one is at a neutral site(Rubber Bowl in Akron) which could mean a bigger crowd for Canton. Of course when you get to this point, crowds don't matter.

But also remember the first meeting was played at Fawcett Stadium right next to Canton McKinley. This one is at a neutral site(Rubber Bowl in Akron) which could mean a smaller crowd for Canton. Of course when you get to this point, larger crowds have a greater effect on the game.

Nice try, kid.

Damn the website i was looking at was wrong, it listed the game as a Massillon home game in the regular season.

Well my mistake. Crowds might actually be smaller for both teams, remember I said might. But the distance between Fawcett Stadium(Canton) and Paul Brown Tiger Stadium (Massillon) is only like 6-7 miles, so distance really didn't factor all that to much on Canton's side. There was about 10000 Massillon fans at the first meeting, so again the amount of fans one team has as opposed to the other should not affect the game in anyway.

BTW, did you basically just copy my post and replace Massillon with Canton?

Also, I don't believe crowd sizes affecting the teams involved this far into the playoffs. It might affect a team that isn't used to it(As in the regular season), but when you've went this far, the crowd is the last thing on your mind. The teams won't be paying attention to the crowd, it will be the game they will have their attention to.

Did I? Wow, great minds think alike.

Larger crowd generally equals louder crowd generally equals harder to hear. It's hard to "pay attention" to the game if you can't hear the audibles.
