Vince Young (unemployed)

Ummm... someone posted something about Vince Young mentioning being drafted by his hometown "Texans" and I was just saying that the Texans really don't need a QB. You're right, though. The Texans have many other needs. Such as offensive linemen, and a defense that won't give up 30+ points a game, and squander such a huge lead against the Rams. Yep... it's tough for me, being a Texans fan, this year. :(

Sorry, that wasn't meant for you. I was wondering why Young even mentioned it...unless he has heard from the Texans....

Am I the only one who thinks Vince Young has continued to throw more side-armed as the season has gone on?

I saw him in the A&M game and he looked like he'd dropped down to the side much more than earlier in the season.

I don't see him being a QB prospect. Maybe a receiver but he looks more sidearm than Bernie Kosar did.

I wonder if that change in throwing action speaks to a different problem, shoulder perhaps?

I agree completely b/c I noticed the same thing. But if VY goes as a reciever, I don't think he will go top 5 or even top 10 in the draft. Un fortunately, he is just one of those athlete's that are good at everything, but not great at one skill position. Kind of like Troy Smith coming into tOSU.:wink2:

From what people post on hornfans.com Vince Young refuses to play any other position than QB. I got no links just what people wrote but I think if he plays a smarter game and not always trying to squeeze the ball into tight coverage he'll be fine in the NFL. At 6'5 and 220ish+ with incredible speed and ability to cut he'll do fine. I don't think in his 2-2 1/2 years as starter hes ever been injured seriously.

I think he will be another warren moon/vick type . He could be a bigger version of Vick which, could be nuts with his size

he seems like a classy young man but, I really wish he would have followed claretts past work to the NFL before he played against the buckeyes:osu:

Certainly not. But Vick isn't a good NFL passer by any means. Young's passing can only get better and I think based on his athleticism, a lot of teams would take a risk on him, hoping he can have a Vick-like impact.

I totally agree that Vick isn't that good but with Young's sidearm delivery I think he may have problems.

I do wish him the best b/c I really like the young man.

What other position would he possibly play? I think Young has proved that he can effectively pass the ball, and is a great runner, too. This guy got it done with his arm against us (unfortunately), when he couldn't rack up yards on the gorund. I think Young will be a Top Five pick, but I don't think he'll go to the Texans because David Carr is a good QB when his O-Line blocks well. That's totally off-topic, though. I believe Vince Young has the speed, size, and arm to get it done in the NFL, and I would gladly take him on my team (if I was an NFL GM).

at 6'5" with good speed and big hands you can bet WR. he wont be a QB so either WR or TE or he doesnt play
