Virginia Judge Bans 10-Year-Old "Prodigy" From Golf In Custody Battle

wtf? Maybe the parents are jackasses, but if the kid wants to play, and has ability, this judge isn't punishing them, he's screwing with her life. How the hell can he justify forbidding the development of a natural talent? No way this should be allowed to stand.

Besides, if the kid is really any good in a couple years the parents can fight about controlling all the endorsement money the kid earns.

Someone in the comments speculated that since the dad went in without a lawyer and was just supporting her golfing, the wife and her lawyer played the "he only cares about her golf game and neglects everything else she should be doing" card, swaying the judge to decide limiting golf might be in the child's best interest. Given some other facts presented about the father I could definitely see that line of thinking. Still doesn't sit right, though.

We've got a judge in Georgia telling a guy to jerk off in court and another one in VA telling a 10 year old golf prodigy she can't play golf.

Seems like there should be a middle ground.

Not to mention the cunt in CA giving a guy who committed sexual assault a 6 month sentence because "his family has suffered enough"....
