A lot of Buckeye fans here respect LSU, and look forward to a terrific title game. Win or lose, we hope BP.com will have a few quality Tigers who stick around and contribute to our forums, the way USC, Florida, Texas, and other fans have done after our past meetings. LSU, like us, is a program that resides near the top of the polls every year, and we value having the perspective of some of their fans around.

If you're here to discuss, that's great. No one will ask you to tone down your pride in what LSU accomplished this year, and where they're going (assuming 8pm brings what it should). No one will ask you to pretend to believe you're going to lose. I know, you saw 41-14 and you think that single game is more representative than the 27 or so that bookended it, even though you also saw the "slow, thick-ankled" Buckeyes match "the fastest team ever" when we won our title in 2002. Despite the fact that no one team has stepped forward as a dominant force this year, including (twice over) your Tigers, you feel like this is a gimme win. Fair enough.

The funny thing is that I'm giving you this warning to protect other LSU fans, not this site. Many Ohio State fans felt like LSU got robbed when they kissed the crystal trophy, but the media talked up USC. Many Ohio State fans respect the current level of play coming out of the SEC. These things have an ebb and flow to them, and there is no question 'your' conference is playing great ball. But if trolls, and weak trolls at that, come on here and set a poor tone, it's going to be harder to weed through your fan base and find the people who actually know something about the sport.

So stay and talk, have fun, but don't degrade the conversation, or our image of LSU fans. If you just want to talk smack and get some good smack back, I suggest you find another site.

We haven't owned anyone since week 2. We had trouble with Tulane. Trust me, we're not expecting to roll over Ohio St. It will be a great game and all of you guys coming down here, I hope you have a good time and stay safe. Btw, if you're looking for LSU forums, the one I'm on is tigerforums.com which I feel is the best one, and then there are others like TigerRag on scout (have to pay) and tigerdroppings (but a lot of drama queens) Good luck to you guys. Oh and we're calling this game The Hat vs. The Vest on tigerforums :p

You'll get no problems out of me. I am actually here because i was reading this was one of the classier OSU boards, and i enjoy actual football discussion over smack. I generally don't post on very many boards i read, but i am pretty stoked on this game so i may end up posting a little bit here. lol Anyway, hope the Hat vs the Vest is good injury free game. I love that title by the way. I am also going to check out the tigerforums site, GeauxTigers, because i have never been there.

That was Ty Willingham's fault, no doubt.

well you've been here for a while and you haven't done the usual "SEC is the bestest evers" BS that you get on a lot of boards. That's credit to you

Good, it's the weak ass idiots who bring up Florida last year like it's relevant.

I think Florida is very relevant to the attitude our guys will be taking this month and out on the field in January.

I love the negative tOSU talk. Bring it on. Just like '02. Just like Florida had last year.

I think that game is very relevant, just not as a positive for LSU. tOSU considers that game plenty.

I'm happy we are fresh off of that shit.. should help the focus and intensity

Yeah it's relevant to Ohio State's mindset. However it couldn't be anymore irrelevant to LSU since they didn't play in the game last year.

The only way i think the florida game may be relevant is if it causes Ohio State to press to prove last year was just happenchance, or if LSU gets up a little early, there may began to feel like oh, no, here we go again. Ya'll think OSU will feel any added pressure going up against an SEC team because of what happened last year as opposed to WV or Missouri? This may have been discussed, but i haven't ran across it in the little reading i have done.

From reading quotes from the players, I don't see any type of pressure. They're strictly using last year's title game as supreme motivation. This includes a modified training/workout/practice routine to better prepare them for the game. Also, there will be plenty of bulletin board material that gets shoved in their faces ad nauseum. Honestly, I see a lot less pressure and a lot more motivation.

Nevermind, guess there were like 3 posts while i was posting mine, guess ya'll just think it will be motiviation to prove last year was a fluke lol

I think playing against an SEC team again is exactly what we need. You can bet that OSU will not be going into the game flat and unprepared like last year...LSU had better be ready for a no-shit dogfight.
