Have you been paying attention to both Doug and his father throughout the recruiting process? Doug has been excited about being a Buckeye and the friendships he has already started with Boone, Denlinger, and Laurinaitis, among others. He has said from day 1 that he is taking these visits for 2 reasons...1) because he promised his father he would because his father never had a chance to visit some of the schools Doug has been visiting and 2) in case anything happens with the NCAA he will have other options. He has said numerous times to several to reporters from several different website that unless somethings major happens with the NCAA, he is signing with the Buckeyes on NLOID. Richard Wasington took his visits because he was not convinced he had made the right decision when he verballed to OSU. Worthington has said that all he wants is to be a Buckeye. In my opinion, Worthington and Washington are nothing alike...casey_buckeye said:Looks like he will pull a Richard Washington on us..
Exactly...CRS said:I don't think he will. He has been very up front through this entire process.

Great point...Washington held his presser with both an OSU and a NCSU LOI in front of him. Worthington will only have one LOI in front of him on 2/2...Oh8ch said:What set Washington apart is that he led OSU to believe he would sign right up until signing day - then back doored them. It was also at a time when you could only send out as many LOIs as you had ships and it likely cost OSU Buster Davis.
(Sorry, its recruiting season and I just had to type 'Buster Davis' at least once.)
