I wonder if they consider it a "tipped" pass at that point... not sure what the rules are on a tipped pass

They also interpret the rule like an arm moving forward can’t have a backward pass when a defender hits the arm/ball, but that’s BS. If the ball goes backwards it should be a fumble/lateral, as long as the ball didn’t leave the hand going forward and then get knocked backwards. They’ve been messed up on that since the Brady tuck call.
