Week 3 Games Discussion

Bert snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Welcome back we missed you.
He should have gone for it on 4th and 1 at the Md 41 with a little over 5 minutes to go, instead of doing the old try-to-draw-them-offside/delay-of-game/punt thing. A conversion, one more first down and a FG and it’s virtually over.

Then he took a timeout when his QB was sacked around his own 25 with about 1 minute left. On the next play, the guy was sacked again, and Md called timeout, setting up their game-winning FG drive.

Played not to lose when he should have played to win, then played to win when he should have been OK with OT. And had more faith in his QB on 2nd and 21, when his QB was completing 30-something % of his passes, than he did on 4th and 1, when the run game was decent. Idiot.

Looking forward to IU/Cincy. Chance to see how “real” both teams are. I know Hoosier fans have had this one circled all summer. Might the the craziest that stadium has seen in years (at least with actual IU fans vs visiting Buckeyes).

I know they lost week one, but Tom Allen is trying to build something there and he’s close. Feels like the best combination of talent/coaching that program has had in 15 years (briefly, RIP Terry Hoeppner) and probably even another 15 years before that. They need a win today but the Fighting Fickells are tough.

I put a whammy bet on the Juggalos because my nimrod fucking cousin won't shut the fuck up about them. He honest to Woody thinks they are 1) better than OSU and 2) a legit NC contender/P5 team. It's remarkable.

I was going to do the same, but I just don't feel good about IU. There's something wrong with Penix.

I did make it out to Rivers yesterday. Turns out I had 20 on Arky last week instead of 10, so I had 60 waiting for me. Last week wasn't the wipeout I initially though it was. I was only down 40, and considering the 17 I netted the week before, I only needed to add 23 to get the nut back to a hundred.

Oddly, the computer wouldn't let me parlay Ohio State minus the points and the over, which is hopefully a good sign. So, I did single bets on those two plays plus another one for Ohio State to score more than 42.5. My parlay is Sparty+, Bama- and UVA+. Moneyline bets are UVA over UNC and Minny over Colorado. Potential juice on my nut is around 250. All goes well, and I'll be playing with house money next week.

Lost 12 on a slot machine on my way out though. Growing up in Reno, I should no better. Never play wheels games. Wheel games are for suckers.

I always throw some fun money on a parlay of teams I want to lose. Just some fun money of course that I am happy to lose and enjoy the L for one of my victims.

PSA: Parlays are a sucker bet kids. Don't play them if you are actually trying to win money.

Anyway, today's victim card (all money line):
UC
Oklahoma
T A&M
TSUN
Notre Dame
Penn State
Clemson

Someone is going to lose and I'll lose some pocket change but fuck 'em, that's why.

Two or Three team parlays are legit provided the casino isn't going below 2.6:1 and 6:1. In an average college season, I'll usually hit between one and three 3-play parlays with two being a break even on them for the season. If I hit one early, I'm playing with house money from then on out. They're even more legit if it's a 2-play tied together such as Ohio State minus the points plus the over on that game. Anything beyond three plays, though is a blind swing for the fences, and the house vig starts to go way up.

This is all fine, but I didn’t want to know about the ‘potential juice’ on your nut.
