You might want to check the Nebraska thread

I try not to ever do that. Besides...

Frosts buyout is $15m. Drops to $7.5m Oct 1.

His job is rather safe for a couple of weeks, then.

They could've saved 7.5 million dollars by waiting a month and giving a hometown hero a break in a season where it's not like they were going anywhere. And nope.

Saving the money in this buyout should've been common sense so wtf are they thinking

Either some booster ponied up the cash to get it done, or Trev is looking out for his boy by putting an extra $7.5 million in his pocket.
Yikes if that's Alberts' doing. If its boosters, oh well. But, I got to think the administration doesn't want to just flush 7.5 million down the toilet if they could wait a couple weeks on a failed experiment.

It is the strangest thing in the world that all of Nebraskas losses in the past couple years have been by 1 score or single digits and they had chances to maybe win every one of them, out side of our game last year probably though 1 less turnover on their part and who knows.

Someone said Trev wanted to fire him last year and there was enough support to get him one more chance. I'm sure he didn't do anything without the support of the right people.

The close games are really unbelievable. Frost was 16-31 at Nebraska and (I think) 5-22 in one score games. If he's even about .500, say 13-14 that puts him at 24-22 and he's still got a job today, even if it's disappointing from what they thought they were getting.

In his presser yesterday, Alberts said that Frost will get the full $15m he’s got on the contract because Nebraska has a long-standing tradition of fully honoring their contracts, or words to that effect.

It reminded me of “The Lannisters always pay their debts.”
