The last high school football game I attended was my nephew's senior day. His team had a 1 point lead and three kneel downs would win it with the opponent out of time outs. Dumb ass coach runs a fake kneel down pass for a TD and the idiots went wild in jubilation as I shook my head. One of the humanoids overheard me saying how stupid that was and decided to inform me that the object of the game was to score points. I pointed out that the object was to win and the game was in the bag before that TD.

Surprise, surprise, the opponent scored in the final seconds, got the two pointer, then won in overtime. I stood and asked "Did y'all learn anything tonight?" and got a few f-bombs for my efforts. I've not had a reason to attend another HS game and no desire to, either. Few things are dumber than a crowd at a HS football game.

You’re selling the human race short. High school football crowds are every bit as dumb as college football crowds are as NFL football crowds are as NFL fantasy football Twitter is to political Twitter.

We’re in a tribal race to the fucking bottom.

It’s precisely why I chose to take a 15 month sabbatical from BP to bitch up and choose positivity.

He was in bad shape last week vs UCLA. Curled over after every pass. Still led a nice TD drive. I love him and Ronnie Rivers. Perfect football after dark combo of enjoyment.

There’s one TD back. UNLV may have found a playmaker at QB (not bamed Tathan).

Stupid two point conversion attempt in the first half compels another in the 3rd quarter. Both failed.

How hard is it to just kick the damn thing in the first half? These coaches get paid a lot of money to make dumb decisions.

Fucking hell, I forgot he's even there. He's 3rd string at UNLV? Jeezus, and this kid thought he was going to beat out Justin Fields.

He only thought he would beat out Justin Fields until Fields sat courtside at an OSU basketball game next to Haskins and proceeded to open Instagram and like all of Martell’s sister’s posts.

The ultimate big swinging dick alpha move.

He got in for 2-3 snaps last week after everything else failed for the Rebels. Nothing remarkable happened (scramble throwaway and a sack maybe? I forget).

My advice now that he’s back home is to head down to the strip and get a job as a promoter/bottle/bus/limo guy. Looks like any of those I’ve ever seen when I hit vegas. I’m sure some of those clubs pay well.

God I forget about that part of the story. One of those “I don’t condone acting like that” (and I’d want to kick his ass if it was personal) but damn if it doesn’t get a wry smile out of me.

Fields shut up all the cocky talk pretty quickly.

(I do wish Tate the best, whatever he ends up doing. I think he’ll land on his feet.)
