The West has never won in Indy, so I'm not sure how last year was different. Post-expansion Big10 has always been decided between MSU, OSU, scUM, and pedst.

Moreover, The Game has frequently been the deciding event for Big10 Champs.
That's true before expansion, after expansion with divisions, and I don't see that changing in the next iteration.
The only way that ever changes, is if The Game stops being played Thanksgiving weekend. And that, I hope we'd all find to be sacrilege*


*excepting UTQTFS.
