Welcome: Irish Fans (Merged)

One point to ponder in this match up..Don't forget that tosu has now been here three of the past four years. They will again be staying at the Scottsdale Princess...and practicing at Pinnacle H.S....don't underestimate the comfort factor when it comes to playing here. I think JT will use this to full advantage in preparation for ND...My Prediction...osu 31 ND 17:osu:

Now about what you guys need to watch out for. Your defense is excellent, but you're going to have your hands full with our offense. Our O lne is very good.

No offense, but I haven't seen any real good indication that your offensive line was that good. If Carpenter is back, I really don't see you guys having much of a chance against the edges (with him and Kudla).

Also, if your "d" pays too much attention to Stovall and Shark, then Fasano and Walker will hurt you in the passing game. Defend the passing game too much and Walker and Thomas will hurt you with the running game. Blitz too much and draws and screens will become a problem. Therefore, your defense will have to play it honest for this game. This game will be about a great offense against a great defense. I just hope the old adage "defense wins championships" doesn't hold true Jan. 2.

Agree with everything here. The only thing I would point out is that tOSU defensive coaches are superb at making in-game (and especially) halftime adjustments. I think ND will score early, but won't see much of the endzone after halftime.

If you can throw deep and catch the ball, you will beat our pass coverage. Don't think you will be able to run on us.

Again, disagree. Our offensive line has improved tremendously, and we've been able to run on much higher ranked defenses. I'm not sure why you think we won't be able to, especially with Smith as a dual-threat QB.

Special teams should be a push.

Repeat, no offense, but this is crazy. ND may be good on special teams, but between Josh Huston, Ted Ginn, Jr., and Santonio Holmes, there is no way ND matches up on ST. I predict at least one kick (or punt) will be returned for a TD.

Coaching? I'll take a pro coach over a college coach any day.

I don't have a problem with this logic, but I'm perfectly content to let JT's 5 national championship rings speak for themselves. Those rings go nicely with his Fiesta Bowl record in the last three years.

It's pretty early in the AM in Colorado and am still bleary-eyed.

Am I correct to assume we are favored my 28 POINTS?

Man, Weiss with a month...gotta take the points as in almost every bowl game but especially Weiss.

With the Pats he and the staff had good teams but nothing that sticks out at you except for a few positions.

The credit goes to Belichick, Crennel and Weiss, they were the ultimate schemers.

Welcome all!

No, the line is not 28 points.

does it make fresno's coach better that he put up twice as many points despite 5 turnovers? weis is a great coaching mind, but we'll see how he does in his first bowl game, especially in the second half, when osu tends to adjust and slow opposing offenses down considerably.

you're not favored by 28 points, you have to be quite bleary eyed to believe that one. OSU is favored by 5-6 from what I've seen.
Thats kinda of stupid. Seeing how we were higher ranked in the BCS and all.

Well seeing that Notre Dame is the home team and how they have fare in those green jerseys ...I hope they wear green.
we chose them in our second fiesta bowl too... no need to break with tradition.
