West Virginia/JUCO/C.W. Post/Kean RB Jason Gwaltney (official thread)

Jason Gwaltney said:
Without a doubt. It's a scary feeling. Will they be in trouble when I get there? I'm taking my time so we'll see what happens.
He's ours :roll2:

I agree that he's afraid of Wells. Maybe if Ringer had been our other back, he'd be less scared.

If indeed USC will have no RBs returning in 2006 that will challenge Gwaltney (which I doubt), wouldn't every top RB recruit want to go there? Has he considered that? He won't be seeing PT at all in 05, so he won't scare off many recruits. He might even redshirt.

Whereas tOSU will have Pittman as a JR, Haw and Wells as sophs, and some other back (the mystery of the week). There's a good chance we could land Wells too. Gwaltney is walking into a cobweb at USC.

"Jim (Ann Arbor): Jason, Michigan needs you at LB. Interested?"

"SportsNation Jason Gwaltney: Nah. USC is the No. 1 team in the nation and Ohio State is recruiting me. Why would I go somewhere not as good as those teams?"
:banger: :banger: :banger:

Steve (Omaha,Ne): Jason it was reported that you where looking at Nebraska at one time? What made you look inot them?

SportsNation Jason Gwaltney: I was at one time. But the day Marlon Lucky committed, they called me in class and said they still want me. But I wanted to go somewhere as the only RB in that class.
Well, this kind of concerns me. He also says that he has it decided, and the staff says we turned down Collins because we have our RB filled up. I don't know, but if he has it decided already, not necessarily want to make an impact his FR year but definitely his SO year, wants to be the only RB in the class and knows that Maurice Wells is a Buckeye, then you have to figure he goes to USC. I would love to have him though!!!!!!! Come on Jason, you can be thunder.. let Maurice be the lightning... and dominate college football.

That is Gwaltney (#14) in the background. His wristband looks a little Scarlett and Gray if you ask me. (a BN poster pointed it out)

Can anyone tell whether he is facing North or West? He seems to be leaning a bit to the right. Could that mean red state? But he has his hands positioned over his left leg. Blue state?
I think the number 14 has more to do with it than anything else. He will play for the 14th rated team in the country on a tuesday when the wind is blowing south and the toilet water flushes counterclockwise....

Gwaltney is an amazing player. No matter where he goes, he's going to have a major impact. The kid is a hard worker and already has a college body. Not to mention that he's a guy who wants to be great. The only reason he isnt the number one back in the country is because he played in a Wing T formation his whole career and the level of competition was suspect. At least that's my opinion.
