West Virginia/JUCO/C.W. Post/Kean RB Jason Gwaltney (official thread)

From HH on BN

I did talk to Gwaltney, and he told me he was just so excited that he feels he is going to commit this weekend. I asked him where, he said "It's gotta be the Buckeyes, man." I had always thought he was committed to the west coast, but he seemed pretty positive about OSU. I don't recall seeing his name on the rundown list, but I only saw the names around Wells. He does act ready to commit.

Great news if true...maybe it's USC he's been playing all along? I would love to see somebody pull the wool over Pete f@#&ing Carrol's eyes one time...(my ND friend can't say PC's name without adding his "middle name")

Like we have said earlier... even if he would commit to us today... I will not think he is committed until we get the fax from him on NLOID! He changes his mind way too much.

Can't fault a guy for taking this decision this seriously. I mean, it's the next 4 years of his life that he's gotta decide on. When I was his age, I could hardly decide on what to do in the next week.

No doubt the draw of USC is a big one, considering their recent success. I wonder if he's talked to Jarrett about what it takes to adjust from being a New England kid to a Cali kid.

I thought Jarrett was from Jersey. As far as I (being from Foxboro, MA) know Jersey is not part of New England. Oh well we all make mistakes. As for Gwaltney, come and be part of the Buckeye Lore. It is a great place to be. You and MoW could be quite a tandem.

We all knew what he meant...

Gwaltney has been impressive, both at RB and on special teams today...

Jamie Newburg still says USC is in the lead for Gwaltney's services. I guess we will have to see. The "trifecta" needs two more people, and its in the fourth quarter, times running out. Lets hope we make a last push.
