High School Westerville South Wildcats

Started this thread because I'm aware there are several of us Wildcats on BP...

Went to the game tonight, tough loss. Carlin Isles (Massillon-Jackson RB) is a great player. The speed that kid possesses is sickening. TGII-type speed for sure. After watching him tonight, came home and researched a bit, he's a 4.13-4.2 forty guy. He runs hard, low, and fights through tackles and breaks big plays from broken plays. A lack of tackling ability hurt the 'Cats tonight. Several stops in the backfield turned into big plays the other way. The 'Cats have a decent QB (runs fairly well and throws the short to intermediate passes decently), but he can't throw to the receivers who have the ability to stretch the field vertically.

It was nice seeing a game, I've only been to a couple since I left.

I just graduated from Jackson this past year, and I know Carlin fairly well. One thing for sure his work ethic is great. That kid is constantly training so he can continue to be great and gain even more success. For his size he sure does a great job. I am glad to see that he is getting offers from pretty good D1 schools. We know OSU isn't going to happen but he certainly is making a name for himself and if he keeps putting on muscle at the rate he has been he could be a great RB in college, one that comes in underated and leaves very good. He's a great kid as well, it's good to see how well he's is doing. From experience I can tell you, he is probably one of the fastest HS/future CFB players in the nation. I could definately see him being a top 3 speed. He could challenge Ginn in a race no doubt.

We are doing much better this year!

Good Luck with Liberty this week.

I play for Delaware Hayes, and we had a bad loss to them, 31-0. They are a very good team, but I definetly think you guys can beat them. Our game vs them shoul have been much closer had we been able to execute and score right before the half. I made a 30 yard catch on a 4th and long that put us on the Liberty 5 yard line, with 30 seconds left in the half. But the next play we threw a pick 6 and Liberty was up 14 0, when it very well could have been 7 to 7.

Anyway, my point is we really weren't beat too bad by them, and I think you guys should win by a few scores.

Hopefully, we are able to get into the Region 3 playoffs and maybe meet you guys there.

But, I'll be rooting for Liberty. A couple extra computer points would help.

4 seed for the 'Cats. They play Olentangy Liberty for the second straight week. South won 47-20 at Liberty, have them at home this Saturday. If they win that game they'll most likely have a date with Dublin Coffman.
