What Are You An Expert At? (Networking)

Cornerback6

Optimism Lover
I know this board's first priority is Buckeye athletics & I love that. But then I thought about it for awhile and I don't think any of us use this board enough to our benefit. There is a LOAD of intelligence and expertise on this board in so many different areas that I'd say we don't take advantage of. This might sound hokey, but this is a massive community with a lot of skills present, so what I'm saying is...what are you an expert at? I know there's things that perplex me everyday. If someone on this board knew about them/it, then I'd ask and take advantage of this awesome opportunity.

I don't know how great of a response this will yield, but everyone should list 3 things that they consider themselves an expert at (besides Buckeye football) and we can use this as a network to make our lives easier. I'm always willing to help someone out when I can and I figure this place could really use some.

My 3:

1. Spanish (9 years speaking/reading/writing/listening) 100% fluency
2. Clothing, Apparel, Fashion...go ahead rip away, but retail was my 1st degree & I've worked inside 3 major clothing corporations. Never underestimate the profundity of the way you dress.
3. Nutrition/Fitness I just posted a huge piece on this in the lose weight drive thread. I love the topic and have made it a huge part of my daily routine for 2 years now.

HM: Education, Writing, Music, Classic Literature, Optimism, Christianity

1. Graphic Design
2. Romance

3. Computers

HM: Christianity, Soccer, Michigan

* - No one is an expert at romance, including me. I'm just quite capable at being mushy, creative, and sensitive towards the ladyfolk.

edit: I'm disappointed that none of you razzed me about 'having romance down' before I changed that line.

Well my formal education would suggest that I am an expert in 1) Cognitive and Moral Development of College Students; 2) pre-Civil War American History; and 3) Western Political Philosophy and Ideologies.

My personal interests and hobbies have lead me to know quite a bit about the Bible, pre-Nicean Christian history, apologetics, and the writings of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.

However, I prefer to think of myself as not knowing enough about anything to be an expert, but knowing enough about everything to be dangerous.

I wouldn't say that I'm an expert, but i think I'm fairly knowledgable about these things:

1. Accounting
2. Useless Trivia

HM:
1. Railroad repair/construction --I'm trying to learn so that (someday) I can take over the company for which I work.
2. Pimping - it ain't easy. :pimp:
3. Logistics

No. 1 - Pissing off my soon to be ex-wife.

No. 2 - Cutting through bullshit.
I'll have to supplement this response after careful consideration of the few things about which I could reasonably claim to have any expertise.

1. Music
2. Comical Mischeif
3. Database Applications

HM: Christianity, Football, Gaming, Weightlifting, Graphic Design, Audio/Video, Writing, Thrift Shopping, Paranoia/Conspiracy Theories.

A girl once called me a Renaissance man because I do everything well. Unfortunately, I spend so much time being well-rounded that I don't have any one talent that would blow you away.
