Nice. Don't use any regular wax or cream polish on them. The beauty of chromexcel is all the oils and fats they inject into the leather while curing it, and you don't want to seal that off. They're not meant to be polished anyways. Mine get some conditioner in the Spring before going into the box for Summer, and that's it.

Man, that's exactly what I was thinking. Do you saddle soap them at all (if you get some salt or whatever)

I did saddle soap them last Spring after 2 hard winters. Then some saphire renovateur to condition. For everyday maintenance, just a brushing after wearing and a damp rag if they're muddy or get salt on them.

If you don't want to fund his next cosplay trip to London, you can get the stuff from these guys. They also have the creams specifically made for chromexcel.
