Spladam. Several of the LBs have had an issue or two, by Pryor and Wint have had "JFC! WTF was that?!" moments. The physical potential is obviously there, but they just seem lost sometimes...
They're the last line of defense. If we have just adequate safety play we probably dont give up those real long runs.

The backers failing causes 20 yard runs but you CANNOT fail this frequently at safety or it'll go 80 yards every time.

Hopefully with UFM back he forces a change with this defense.

Tulane has a RB by the way who runs track so once again our defense better unfuck themselves or we will give up another bad TD or three.

bump for this topic

We said it would go back and forth all year and I think it's swung back to the safety not named Fuller.

You don't see the opposing offense setting a record for longest play in school history every fucking week if you are getting proper safety play.

The LB's are still inconsistent but they also make plays.

Pryor is having a season that makes Isaiah Prince's 2016 season look like he was a Pro Bowler. I don't know that I can recall such weakness at the position to be honest.

Linebackers and WRs are all still Jekyll and Hyde.
One Safety spot - regardless who it is - is definitely the weakest spot on the field. But I'm not sure that makes it the weakest position group ?

To me it is easily the weakest group because if Fuller goes down there is literally no one else who should be starting at this level.

WR/LB, pretty much any other position on the team if someone goes down there are a multitude of capable guys.

No one else in the safety room can take playing time away from Pryor and Wint right now so that means there is zero depth.

Embarressing safety play.. as you said I'm not so sure we have kids other than fuller who should be playing right now. Pryor now largely responsible for the longest run against in history and now longest pass in history. Same piss poor angel and when do we stop the madness?

Put Wade back there to atleast attempt to do something different. This is unreal and its far worse now than in 2013.

I'm done listening to the youth excuse, the gap alignment excuse, the it's "a lot of small things making big things" excuse and the it's a poor angel issue.

We aren't learning and now have given up 79, 80, 93 and 93 yard scores. What's the definition of insanity again coach?
