Got to agree with you on teh Illinois & Wisconsin being a tough test, especially Wisconsin. Tressel has a lossing record against them.

meh

If we'd played them in '05 and '06 he'd have a winning record against them.

A tough test because Wiscy is a good team and it's a tough venue for various reasons, not least because an unusually high proportion of their fans are criminally insane (or is throwing marshmallows full of pennies normal behavior?). But it's not a tough test because Wiscy has JT's number. Bielema has played Tressel one whole time - and lost.

Take a look at all the top ranked teams going head to head this weekend. Some of them will be knocked down, there's no way around it. If we keep winning and top 10 teams keep getting tossed down the poll, anything could happen. Not to mention that even if they make it by, they have to face off in the Big 12/SEC championship game. When it's all said and done, we will more than likely be looking at 2-loss (or more) teams left standing. There's a chance that one of these teams goes undefeated or only has 1 loss at the end of the road, but I believe it's slim and/or doubtful. Nothing is set in stone. Anyone saying third time's the charm is already out the window is selling us short in my book.

Just win, baby!

The way Ohio State won against Purdue was not pretty to say the least, but look at what happened up in Michigan. Toledo upsets Michigan? And then Minney goes into Iliani's stadium comes out with a winner there. What in the world is happening here. If Parity reigns, it sure looks like its happening in the BIG 10. We all were asking if Penn State was for real last week. Well I guess they are. Our Buckeyes really have there work cut out for the next 2 weeks.

Those games will tell us alot. It would not surprise me if Ohio State could end up with a season of 8 and 4. Alot of people have told me its time for JIm Bolleman to step down and I really don't know if that is the answer in as much as I have heard that Tressel needs to get an offensive Co-ordinator. So many un-answered question are still out there. I see so much raw talent for OSU but we can't seem to put it all together. Especially after all the players who committed to come back for this one season to prove that they were for real.

Tangent but.....

if Tennessee loses 1 more game (likely)

tOSU will be the only football program in FBS (Div 1A) to NEVER have lost 8 games or more in a year

True, if you discount USF, which started playing football in 1997, and became a 1-A team in 2001. That was pointed out in the 'Ten loss teams' thread.
