a tornado (unconfirmed) hit the Ga Dome during OT of the Bama/MSU game about an hour an a half ago. Was a wild scene on the TV broadcast. Ripped a couple holes in the side of the Dome. Debrsi was flying around inside, rafters were shaking. Cleared the court, and delayed the game for close to an hour. CNN's building got hit, and they're reporting 8-10 people hurt at the Omni hotel across the street form Ga Dome.

Nothing official yet, but guessing tomorrow, followed by the two semifinal games.
Game ain't happening tonight, but fans not allowed to leave until current severe weather warning clears.

Gotcha. Thanks for the info!

No times have been set, but the CBS guys said everything than can be done will be done to not change the starting time for the final on Sunday. Heaven forbid should severe weather and holes in the roof mess up a TV contract.

Edit: A guy on our board living in the Atlanta area says it's being reported that the change in pressure caused some pipes to bust. Downstair of the dome having a little issue with flooding

ESPN - Storm forces SEC tournament move, unusual twinbill - Men's College Basketball

The winner of the Kentucky-Georgia game will play twice today... either team will have to win 3 games in less than 30 hours to win the SEC tournament... with this decision I think Ole Miss has an easy path to the finals.

BTW, it was confirmed that a tornado was the cause of the damage in Atlanta.

SEC says it will pay refunds for tickets from storm-marred tourney

ATLANTA -- The Southeastern Conference will refund fans who had tickets for the final three sessions of its storm-altered men's basketball tournament.

The refunds could cost the SEC and its 12 member schools some $2.5 million.

A tornado, which caused heavy damage in downtown Atlanta, struck the dome March 14 during overtime of the Mississippi State-Alabama quarterfinal. That game was finished after a one-hour delay, but the final game of the night between Georgia and Kentucky was postponed until the next day.

Contd...
