I was watching the Iowa game again today and I noticed that Stan was doing an outstanding job when he was in there. One play in particular Tone had about a 25 yard run on the first drive of the second half, in part because Stan White put the end on his back :yow2:. Anyways I just wanted to give him some encouragement and invite anyone else to single out any player that they feel has really stepped out of the shadows this year.

i realize pittman had a solid year in 04' the time he did play but it is great to see a for sure rb the buckeyes can count on. it's apparent he has worked hard to be the #1 back at osu. and he's only a sophomore....

Games against Indiana do not count.

Games against Iowa are very impressive.

I can never enjoy it enough: Great job o-line !!!!!

You wouldn't say Whitner stepped it up? I think whitner stepped it up HUGE! When Heacock brings him on the blitz, there will always be pressure. Its GREAT!!

Love the determination and speed that he plays at.

i said i didnt think he stepped it up THE MOST. obviously he stepped up his game dramatically and i think he is our best defensive player next to the LBs. one thing i would like to see him do more is try to break down on his blitz's. he has times where he runs by the play when the player throws a short juke. i can fully understand based on timing issues though why he has to fly in at full force though.

its not TG's fault nor probelm. ive been satisfied with his play lately. i would like to see less juking and more forward progress but he looked better last game and i really enjoyed seeing how he provided some downfield blocking even though he is small.
I'm not unhappy with TG's play, but he can play better..I think because his opportunities seem limited he's trying to hit the home run every time. If Just runs his routes, follows his blockers on PR's..I think the highlights will come..

I think you're right there....he's trying to make highlight reel plays, instead of just playing. His athletic ability will make the highlights, but he has to stop pressing. He does seem to be settling a little. His punt return that was called back would have been huge IMO in helping him regain a little confidence.

I think if He has one big play, he'd just go on a tear, and Tressel ball would really be scary.
