I think the water company is pulling a dirty prank by putting something in the water. Some diabolicale chemical that make are farts stink worse. Kind of like asparagus is to pee!

That's how the question got started, in retaliation I tried to give them an underwater dutch oven and that failed.

The trick is that after you fart, you have to hold them underwater for several minutes, so they can really get a good noseful. Once they've stopped moving you know you've got them!
