Urban Meyer won't say who contacted him about coaching in the NFL, but there was a team that inquired about Meyer's interest in coaching. The Ohio State head coach quickly put an end to those thoughts, telling the mystery team that he didn't have any interest in making the jump to the NFL. This is nothing new for Meyer, as there was speculation that he might finally make the jump to the NFL following Ohio State winning the College Football Playoff last year.
Right now Meyer's focus is on getting his team ready for tomorrow's BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame. A win over the Fighting Irish would improve Meyer's record to 50-4 during his time in Columbus. With Meyer's son being in high school and recruiting going well for the Buckeyes, the near future seems settled for Meyer. While it isn't out of the question to rule out the head coach moving to the NFL some day, it doesn't feel like that will happen in the next couple of years at least.

As Ohio State gets ready to say goodbye to Braxton Miller, it's hard to believe the former quarterback has been playing for the Buckeyes since the 2011 season. During his career, Miller hasn't said a whole lot, which still makes him somewhat of a mystery to Buckeye fans. It has been quite a ride for Miller during his time in Columbus, becoming the starting quarterback during his freshman year, leading an undefeated Ohio State team in his sophomore season, going through two shoulder surgeries, and finally switching to H-back for his final year in the scarlet and gray.
Miller has been quiet and cautious when speaking to the media during his time in Columbus, which is why he still remains a bit of a mystery to many. But that is just how Miller is, even when the media isn't talking to him. Even head coach Urban Meyer said it took some time to get Miller to warm up to him. Instead, Miller lets his play on the field do the talking for him. While he was at Ohio State, Miller was one of the most electrifying players to ever play for the school.
"You say, 'He's whining and he's unappreciative and all he cares about is getting carries.' I would say, 'No, he's a really invested player who definitely was feeling emotional after a game. Wished that he could have done more to help the team out.' At the end of the day people have to drop it. He's done a lot of great things for us."

It seems like just yesterday when Ezekiel Elliott was playing as a true freshman, but tomorrow the running back will be playing in his final game for Ohio State. For Elliott, his time playing for the Buckeyes has had mostly ups but there have been a few downs. Last year around this time Elliott was carrying the team to the first-ever College Football Playoff title. On the other end of the spectrum, just over a month ago Elliott was being roasted by the national media and many others for his comments following Ohio State's loss to Michigan State.
In just three years the rushing total Elliott put up was only topped by the legendary Archie Griffin. When remembering Elliott, fans need to remember how he dominated the game on the field, and not one moment following one of the few Ohio State losses during his time, in which he was frustrated he couldn't lead his team to victory. No matter what some may think about him for saying what he did after the Michigan State game, there is no denying Elliott is one of the best running backs in Ohio State history.
"The one thing I remember about the Big Ten is you play a great team every night. Every game we played in the Big Ten was a great game. Every team we played was physical, had great athletes and good ballplayers. You've got to love (playing) when it comes to the Big Ten."

After a tough non-conference schedule, Ohio State's women's basketball team must be ready to get into Big Ten play. The Buckeyes played UConn, South Carolina, and Notre Dame, the top three teams in the country, losing all three games. Aside from the loss to UConn, in which Ohio State lost 100-56, the Buckeyes only lost to South Carolina by eight points and Notre Dame by three points. Ohio State was able to earn an impressive win, when they beat 10th ranked Texas A&M 95-80 in the end of November.
Now Ohio State will begin conference play with a couple tough matchups, taking on Michigan State today in Columbus, followed by a trip to College Park to take on Maryland on Saturday. The Terrapins are currently ranked sixth in the country, while Ohio State is ranked ninth. After making the NCAA Tournament last season, Ohio State has bigger goals this year. Not only do the Buckeyes have Kelsey Mitchell to lean on, but they feel like they are healthier and deeper this year. Head coach Kevin McGuff knows that navigating Big Ten play is never easy, but the Buckeyes played two of their best games heading into conference play. At least heading into a tough conference schedule, the Buckeyes know they have already been tested from a deep non-conference schedule.
