Ohio State offensive lineman Pat Elflein didn't take long to decide to come back for another season with the Buckeyes following a Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame. Though nine other players that had the option to stay instead opted for the NFL draft, Elflein felt there was still plenty of unfinished business left for him at the college level. With a national championship already under his belt, the rising senior has a new position with his move over to center for next season season. With J.T. Barrett returning at quarterback, there should be a pretty easy transition for Elflein.
To add to his return, Elflein has already accomplished one of the goals that he listed. He was named as one of the captains for the 2016 season. Elflein looks at J.T. Barrett, Raekwon McMillan, and himself as the leaders of the team heading into next season as they try to accomplish the same success that the 2014 Ohio State team did - win a national championship.

J.T. Barrett didn't start for a good chunk of the 2015 season for Ohio State, and it wasn't until the final week against Michigan that No. 16 looked like himself. After suffering a season-ending injury in 2014, Barrett split time with Cardale Jones during the early going of this past season and both quarterbacks suffered, having trouble finding a consistent rhythm. But once the Buckeyes dropped to Michigan State, a light came on for the offense, and things were back to normal. Barrett shined against the Wolverines in the final week of the season and played just as well against Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl for another big win.
Now, heading into the 2016 season, the captain and quarterback is prepared for another go around as the only starter at QB, and the Heisman odds are in his favor. Barrett is listed at 10/1 odds, at fourth-best only trailing Deshaun Watson, Leonard Fournette, and Christian McCaffrey. Barrett still threw for just under 1,000 yards and tossed 11 touchdowns along with rushing for 682 yards and adding another 11 touchdowns on the ground this season. In 20
"Mason Jobst, a freshman forward on the Ohio State men's hockey team, has been named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week, the Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday."

Ohio State hockey freshman Mason Jobst was named the Big Ten Third Star of the Week after Jobst tied for the NCAA lead with seven points last week, with two goals and five assists. In the Buckeyes' home-and-home series with a sixth-ranked Michigan team, Jobst had a career-high four points Friday in Columbus and three points Sunday in Ann Arbor.
The seven points this past week extended Jobst's point streak to six games and he has three goals and 11 assists for 14 points in the stretch. He is second among B1G rookies with 19 pointsthis season and is seventh in the NCAA among rookies with 1.00 points per game. Jobst has been an excellent player for the Buckeyes to date, and all signs to him continuing his success.

Former Ohio State defensive tackle Adolphus Washington pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of soliciting for prostitution on Tuesday. The star defensive tackle was suspended for the Fiesta Bowl against Notre Dame after news of his arrest on Dec. 9 from a motel in Columbus. Washington was a senior, thus the suspension effectively ended his career at Ohio State. Still, Washington has been projected as one of the higher draft picks for the Buckeyes for the upcoming 2016 NFL draft, as high as the first or second round.
Washington 48 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks in his junior season and then returned for his senior season in 2015, where he had another solid outing before his suspension for the Fiesta Bowl. Washington helped secure one of the top defensive lines in college football alongside Joey Bosa at defensive end.
