Why Soccer Will Always Be a Niche Sport

I love soccer, but the flopping is pretty obnoxious. We get it, you and all of your teammates our hurt so bad that you must roll around in pain and agony in order to survive the vicious beating you took when the guy brushed your leg.

I do think that if the USA National team got any good, and made a serious run in the World Cup, that soccer could become popular here. I think there is a huge rush in watching a great football or soccer game, and I wish more Americans could experience the passion of international and club soccer.

High school level and below, I love soccer. Anything above that, I can hardly stomach it.

I'd say about 20-30 seconds per match are watchable if a really good team makes some really good passes to score a goal or two. The other two hours, or however long matches are, is as boring as watching the grass grow.
