What are the odds that JT hires a minority to the position? With DH gone we have 2 minority coaches on the staff. Hazel took Marcus with him so that really only leaves Haynes and Johnson as minorities on the staff. I think he will strongly consider that in his choice. JT seems to have a diverse staff and I think he continues in that direction. Go Bucks

Aren't we beyond this? .. how about he just hire the best person he can find, no matter whether he is black, white, yellow, green, blue, red, old, young... ooops should have said he/she/heshe/trangender/transspecies etc. My bad

Ohio State: We have heard that Jim Tressel may stay within the conference to fill the open wide receivers job at Ohio State.

Michigan State: Our sources tell us that Mark Dantonio has interest in former Florida wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator Zach Azzanni.

Let me state that this site, while fun to read, is not always accurate when it comes to this sort of thing. On the other hand, with the Coaches Convention going on in Dallas, they may have heard something.

Somewhat. However, it is a consideration not only for public perception but definitely also in recruiting.

Yeup. Why is Luke Fickell a great recruiter? He is young and can relate to the athletes. When you have a team with a father-figure HC it is good to balance that out with some assistants who can play a different role in the recruiting and coaching relationships.

I agree and when I said best person for the job, I meant to include recruiting ability as well as teacher of the game, perhaps I should have elaborated a bit. I just don't think that race, age, sex etc. should be a qualification that eliminates or enhances a persons chance at getting the job. That being said I saw Erin Andrews catch a ball thrown high to her the other day, hell...she could recruit me, so I understand your point.

I am surprised that this position hasnt been filled, especially with how important recruiting is and with the possibility of Story coming in for a visit with no wr coach. I will be surprised if we dont hear a name this week. Go Bucks
