William Buford Chasing the Scoring Record Tracker

Game 31: @ Michigan State
Game Points: 25
Season Points: 468
Scoring average: 15.10
Total Points: 1,892

Buford's huge game not only led the Buckeyes to their 3rd straight Big Ten title, it also shot him past Michael Redd to #5 on the all-time list. He is now 42 points behind #4, the great Kelvin Ransey.

Since they're from my hometown, I'll note that 3 of the top 5, plus JJ at #7, are from Toledo.

I drove by Buford's alma mater a couple weeks ago. Libbey HS was in a state of demolition, with the work of the wrecking ball not yet completed. Glad to see WB's jumper was in full working order today.

Don't mean to distract from this thread but T-town will be sending more Love:) to the Buckeyes in the near future.

I didn't know Libbey was being torn down. Kind of reminiscent to JJ... He went to Macomber H.S. and it closed a few years after he graduated.

Still #5. He is now 21 points behind Ransey... would love to see Buford grab that spot today and lead the Bucks to another Big Ten Tournament Championship!

An even 500 points on the season for Mr. Buford and still sitting at #5. He is now 10 points behind Ransey... hopefully he gets at least that in the opening round. He'll have to catch fire and have OSU go deep in the tournament to catch Jerry Lucas (1,990 points, 66 point differential)... I'll take both please.

Just 4 points last night for Buford, losing any realistic possibility of reaching anyhting above 3rd historical position

If the Buckeyes pass CUSE (fingers crossed) Buford would probably reach Lucas

Elite Eight!!!!!

Go Buckeyes!

So all he needs are games of 10,10, and 13:biggrin:

If that's all we get out of WB I don't see games 2 and 3 happening. We need the senior leader to step up and play like a 1st round NBA pick from here on out. It's sad to say, but the team looked a lot better with him on the bench in the second half last night.
