Win 98 won't remember me on BP

Anyone else have a problem with BP not remembering your user name and password when accessing the site from a machine running 98?

I don't have this problem from any computer but this one.

Yes and the cookies for BP are all in the folder of cookies. Not sure what gives.

Try a new browser and see if you get the same problem.

Same issue in both IE and Firefox. This is the only website in either browser with this issue. All other sites with cookie recognition works fine.

Yes I double checked that myself before I asked initially, but I understand why you ask. Most often the most easiest explanation is the right one.

Hmmmm... never had that particular prob... I guess try deleting em like GD said.. Maybe there is a conflicting cookie in there somewhere???

Weirdest damn thing... when I log in, close the browser and go to Bp, the home page does not show me logged in. When I click on forums, it remembers me. I don't think my other machines do this, but maybe they do and I've just missed in the in past.

Either way, seems to be ok now. Thanks for the help. Greenies all around.

That is a little weird... when I first signed up here, I did what you just decribed, bookmarked the Forums page and it let me in all the time...

One other thing I just noticed. Even though it now saves my user name/password, my recent visits (including posts in this thread) aren't reflected in the last visited time at the top of the page.

Weird stuff....

I believe it's showing the end time of your last online session, not last activity from the current session. So, next time you are on BP, it should say you last visited at 5:07 p.m.
