Columbus, Ohio - The No. 2/3 Ohio State women's basketball team (22-2; 9-1 Big Ten) extended its win streak to 11-consecutive victories with a 78-46 victory vs. Indiana (9-12; 2-9 Big Ten) Sunday in Value City Arena. There were a season-best 10,434 people on hand to see the Buckeyes up their home record to 14-0. Senior Caity Matter led all scorers with 18 points off a 6-of-9 stroke from the field and a 4-of-6 afternoon from 3-point land.

Matter drained a 3-pointer to give Ohio State a 10-2 advantage at 17:12, but Indiana's Annika Boyd scored four straight to make it 10-6 with just less than 15 minutes remaining in the half. Stephanie Blanton, who made her first start of the season, hit a bucket and Kim Wilburn drained two shots form the charity stripe to make it 14-6 at 13:18.

IU's Cyndi Valentin hit a layup to cut the lead to six before Matter drained another trey and put the Buckeyes ahead 17-8 with 12:47 until halftime. Brandie Hoskins sank a shot prior to yet another Matter make from beyond the 3-point line to put OSU up 22-8 at 11:00.

The Buckeye extended their lead to 14 (24-10), but were held scoreless for four minutes and 30 seconds as the Hoosiers made it an eight-point game, 24-16, with 6:14 until the midway mark. Blanton sank a free throw and Jessica Davenport hit her first shot of the game at 4:36, which gave her team a double-digit lead 27-16. The Buckeyes went on an 8-2 scoring run to close the half up 35-18.

In the second, the Buckeyes led by as many as 36 points and captured the team's eighth-straight Big Ten victory by outscoring the visiting Hoosiers 43-28 in the final 20 minutes.

Davenport added 16 points and 15 rebounds for her seventh-season and second-consecutive double-double. Hoskins and Wilburn each scored nine, followed by Blanton's seven points and Tamarah Riley's seven scores.

Indiana was led by Boyd, who tallied 12 points.

Ohio State plays host to Michigan at 7 p.m. Thursday in Value City Arena.
