Workout Music (merged)

OSUsushichic

Fired up! Ready to go!
I am training for a half marathon and am looking to expand my workout music collection. Anyone have suggestions?

Here are a few of my favorites:

Outkast - Hey Ya
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Madonna - Ray of Light

man....i must be the only one with kids here.....

i enjoy my 5k or 10k in pure silence....the only time i ever get it any more....

i have found running to be 100x more fun without the tunes.....its like a 20-40 minute meditation session.....i just get lost.....

Have to go with my mixed CD that contains some David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, NWA, AC/DC, Van Halen (the original, nothing with Sammie), and more. Of course, it begins and ends with Cie Grant singing "Carmen, Ohio."

If I were going for just one regular CD I would pick Nine Inch Nails and The Downward Spiral.

For pounding the weights I like Metallica Master of Puppets
Damage Inc....good call

Motorbreath off of the Kill em All album was our lockerroom pre-game song in high school. Jam it on loop until coach walked in for the pregame talk...music would snap off and the every player bolted down to one knee. God I miss those days:evil:

Metallica and AC/DC. And Justice for All and Back in Black. I used to lift to them in High School and just never changed. Every once in a while I will throw in Barenaked Ladies if I'm in a goofy mood.

For weightlifting I would agree with Hard Rock...

When running, you need some hyper music! I would recommend:

Allister, Tsunami Bomb, Thrice, MxPx, Five Iron Frenzy, Brand New, Green Day, the Offspring, 311...

Thats what immediately comes to my mind because it's in my collection sitting next to me.
