World Baseball Classic

Junior has been tearing the cover off of the ball throughout the entire Classic. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.

On a side note, is Bum Ho Lee playing for Korea? I find that name to be fairly amusing.

:slappy: They suck.

Dontrelle has been getting rocked. Do we still have a chance to advance if we lose today?

Dontrelle was definitely subpar last night, giving up 3 runs in 3 innings, but Dan Wheeler gave up the three-run homer to Hee-Sop Choi that took it from 3-1 to 6-1.

By my understanding, it's possible (but improbable) we could still advance if we lose to Mexico IF Japan beats Mexico and Korea then beats Japan. At that point, Korea would be 3-0 and Japan, US, and Mexico would all be 1-2. If I'm understanding correctly and the decision is based on run differential, if the US lost by 1 to Mexico, they would need Japan to beat Mexico by 5, and then would need Korea to beat Japan by 9. Or something like that. It seems like it would be a longshot for the US to advance if they lose to mexico, so need to take care of business tomorrow.

I think they will win today, with Clemons on the mound.

Dontrell isnt getting much run support either tho.
