WR Anthony Gonzalez (2005 All B1G, US Congressman)

ANTHONY GONZALEZ, WR, Ohio State -- He was the No. 3 receiver behind Santonio Holmes and Ted Ginn Jr. last season. With Holmes in the NFL, Gonzalez, who Ohio State fans swear is as fast as Ginn, becomes at worst the No. 2 option when Troy Smith goes back to pass.

I can't remember the exact quote but I am pretty sure that Teddy agreed that Gonzo was faster.

Ted is not a good wide receiver. He may be fast. He may be athletic. He is not a good wide receiver.

That is crazy talk.

He is definitely a good wide receiver. He may not be the best but he is definitely above average. Just ask Charlie Weis and IVLoyd Carr.
As a freshman and early in his sophmore year you could say that he wasn't that good but after the second half of last year and the reports out of fall camp.....you are flat out wrong.

I always thought the reason people got all up in arms over steroids and doping was the harmful effects these things have on the body. Does this tent have any harmful effects? If not, what's the big deal?

Perhaps you missed JT's recent discussion of his hands, the coaches all talking about his improved route running in the spring, or the 17 catches he made in the last 2 games he's played. And yet you picked him for your screen name.

Not these yayhoos...all they care is that it gives an "unnatural advantage" to the users. That, and it allows them to feel important about themselves by dictating every little move amateur athletes can do.

I absolutely love Ted Ginn. He is a freak and the most fun player to watch in College. He is also over rated. You can not base anything off what a coach says. By their job description and by their teams best interest they will say positive things.

Ted Ginn could revolutionize the game. If he catches passes over the middle and snags balls like Gonzo does, like BRaylon did, like the great. Thats what I mean by receiver. Sorry about the confusion. Catching the ball is different than being a great wideout. Throw any ball at Jerry Rice it is caught. Teddy could be the best ever if that is true of him when he is done.

Hoping something is true and having it be true are both very different.

You're argument doesn't make much sense... what is it exactly?

Gonzo is nothing like Braylon (tho a UM troll would make this comparison), save for one great catch vs UM where thankfully the DB just stood there. Teddy doesn't go over the middle? I guess you missed MSU 04.

MSU 04 was the best TD play I have ever seen. Watching him catch it and accelerate to throw a guy in his dust that would have hit and drilled almost every other wideout in the country was amazing. i would like to see more consistency like that. I mean he had 4 tds last year.

Gonzo is a receiver like braylon, not in his body type or where he plays but in that he catches and snatches iwth his hands. He catches anything and most things around him. Jerry Rice plucks balls like that, torry Holt. etc. I cant think of many more names.
