He sure can, Miller is the real deal for you guys. I would just get him as far away from TP as I could. If I was new coach I would put a 500 ft buffer around Miller.

I predict Miller will crush all the passing records at OSU, and will start next year.

The way he makes his cuts are sick though. Pat White doesn't have the moves Braxton has. Watching him play for Wayne was a real treat. He dazzled the crowd just about every time he went out there. He's the real deal.

I knew as soon as I mentioned Pat White someone would take it as a negative. It's not. White was a dynamic college QB and I think Miller is a better passer, certainly at this point in their careers. I keep seeing Troy Smith references in this thread but when you talk about "moves and cuts" that wasn't Troy Smith. It was Pat White. Hence my "Pat White with more talent" description. Troy was an efficient runner, but not an electric one (for lack of a better term). He just made plays, time and time again.

Honestly, the only comparison I see between Miller and Troy are African-American QB from Ohio playing for Ohio State. Braxton's style doesn't remind me of Troy at all, and that's okay. He has the chance to be every bit as special, just in his own way.

Sorry Jake, wasn't taking it as a negative. Because their games are similar, but I was just pointing out the fact that the runs and cuts Miller makes are more advanced. To be honest, it's hard to make a comparison with Braxton Miller. He's a rare form player, we don't see players like this too often.

I personally don't see the comparisons to Troy. Miller is much more equipped coming out of HS than TS was. Smith basically grew up before our eyes on the field, which was awesome. It'll be exciting to see how Miller progresses with an already loaded arsenal.

His playing style doesn't remind me of Troy Smith. It's not a knock, folks.

On the contrary, I see a striking resemblance between Troy Smith's play and Miller's. For those of you who say Troy wasn't an electric runner must be forgetting he returned kicks at one point. Also, go watch youtube highlights. If we can get 75% of Tsmith out of Braxton this year we will be hard to beat.

He wasn't an electric runner in my IMHO. He took what he could get after the play broke down. He only had 200 yards and 1 rushing TD his senior year.

He moved well in the pocket and kept his eyes downfield. Braxton is a much better runner.

His senior year was a completely different animal. He bulked up to withstand more contact in the pocket and was nowhere near as elusive or dynamic as his breakout campaign in 2004.

Braxton is quicker than Troy and Terrelle, though not nearly as fast as Pryor.

There are similarities between Troy & Braxton in their running styles though.

Still can't believe they managed to lose that game against Moeller. Although Wayne's D was severely undersized throughout the season. So it isn't too surprising. Braxton did go off on Moeller in the first half of that game though.

As much as people won't like this comparison... his play style reminds me a lot of Mike Vick. The agility, the quickness, the cannon arm, the quick release, the mobility... when I watched his HS film thats who he reminded me of. The first game he played on ESPNU when he showed off his running ability blew my mind... goodness, just so good. Braxton is going to be a superstar IMO.

Braxton Miller - Do not Change
Watching Braxton Miller as a sophomore, he just had the "it." There was something about him that made watching him fun. As a junior, watching him mature was fun. Standing with on the sidelines last year at the Herb Classic in Columbus was fun. Quiet, soft spoken, but what a competitor!

In 7on7 competition, he just did enough to win. Nothing flamboyant or earth shattering, just enough to win. Of course, he had a "rocket" that got him out of trouble at times, quick feet to avoid the rush, and a smile that one had to like. During the fall, these qualities stayed the same. He did have to run harder and quicker against live defenders and he succeeded.

His junior year in the first game of the season, he threw a pass that will always be in my "Top Ten Plays." Running to his left, he stopped just inside the boundary, probably a good yard from the fourth down marker, and threw a perfect strike 35 yards downfield. This play prompted me to tell Coach Tressel. " I do not know how good Pryor was as a junior in high school, but he was not in Braxton Miller's league." Coach just looked at me.
