That's funny, all I ever hear from Buckeye fans in Columbus is how he has potential but "just isn't a QB right now".

If that's not criticism, I don't know what it is...

Well all that matters now is that his new Head Coach thinks he's a QB...and judging by Meyer's excitement during the broadcast of the first game, I think we all know the answer to that. :)

His throws right now look better than TP's freshman year. He's a more dangerous runner, a guy who can score quicker. And he's a "gamer". He elevates the play of those around him. He played lights out today!

Maybe I am just soured by the miserable coaching this year. Maybe I am just cynical after watching the obviously more talented Buckeyes get schooled by MAC level competition. Braxton definitely kept us in games. Without him, and with Bauserman or another stationary QB-- OSU would have been beat by Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

But, I am not ready to anoint him the next Michael Vick/Colt McCoy/Vince Young/Steve Young/Doug Flutie. He has a strong arm; he has flashes of greatness running the ball. On the other hand: he is sporadic throwing the ball; he got chased down from behind by a Michigan db who was 5 or 7 yards behind him in a 30 yard run; and his 'coolness' makes me wonder if he will be able to raise his team-mates passion when it is critical. There are other Freshmen QBs who were much more impressive throwing the ball. Of course other Freshmen QBs were playing for teams that throw slants, quick outs, screens.

335 yards and 3 touchdowns is pretty damn impressive against a top 10 defense. Watch out nation, Braxton + Urban has Heisman written all over it.

There are areas Miller needs to improve in but he makes plays and if he continues to improve at the pace he did this year we could have a great QB. As far as his "cooliness" I think thats a good trait, your QB typically isn't your emotional leader, in a 2 minute drive you want a guy who can keep the O calm. So I wouldn't have concerns about his ability to lead in critical situations

He's going to be exciting to watch next year for sure. I'm thinking around 2,000 passing yards and 19 TD, with 900+ rushing yards and 10+ TD's on the ground.

I assume these same people are cut from the same cloth that think Jim Bollman is an offensive genius, the Wing-T formation is an amazing play call, and Ohio State's biggest rivalry next to Michigan are the Chicago Maroons.

Braxton is a great QB right now. I dare not dream what he will be in his Junior or Senior seasons.

I was one of those fans... I never questioned his athletic ability but I did and still do have some question marks on his ability to throw. He had a very low accuracy percentage in High School and now as a Freshman and he has missed a lot of easy throws this season. Also his deep ball as seen yesterday is not that accurate.

Having said all that this is Braxton's team. It has been a while since I seen a young man wanting and willing to take the team on his shoulders. I think the first down run vs scUM when he reached the ball sums him up.

If he can improve on accuracy, and throwing a catchable ball next year the sky is the limit. In this offense it is hard to grade his ability to pass or ifhe can be a great QB, but there is not a QB out there for next year I would want ahead of Braxton.

Of course. My argument is that if he has a good progression, then by his Junior or Senior season, we'll be talking Heismans, NCs, and maybe something a guy named Archie Griffin has.

Braxton has done amazing things under center, despite being the 2nd stringer for essentially 1/4th of the season. If he commits himself to learning the game, then the sky is the limit. I just imagine having a veteran WR corp in 2013 will benefit him immensely, just as having Posey has helped him the last two games in regards to his passing game.

Tied with Pryor right now with 18 total touchdowns as a frosh. Might as well go ahead and get a couple in the Gator Bowl and pass him.

A good QB coach will fix his main problem; he throws to where his receiver is at pretty well but he isn't good at throwing them open yet or throwing where they will be. Long touch, finding the window and hitting receivers in stride will come with timing and repetition. Can't wait to watch it unfold.

I think this guy will be a great player, he has all the potential in the world. He will improve accuracy thru practice. He doesn't have timing with his recievers yet, once they get on the same page he will be able to get rid of the ball quicker also.
