WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion)

Per Braxtons twitter he may be rocking number 5 tomorrow!!! If he walks out under center first snap in a scarlet #5 jersey I will not be able to contain myself... like literally in my drunken stupor I may be inconsolable

Braxtons #5 jersey is the only jersey I've ever bought. It'd be killer to see him go out the same way he came in

A Look Back Through Braxton Miller's Illustrious Ohio State Career

MillerSnapInAir.jpg

Braxton Miller will go down as an Ohio State legend, if he isn’t there already. He’s one of four player to ever be named Big Ten MVP twice, he is second on the Buckeyes’ list of wins by a starting quarterback, he holds nine school records, and has played two positions during his time in Columbus.

The Braxton Miller era at Ohio Stadium comes to an end on Saturday afternoon when the Buckeyes play their final home game against Michigan State.

"It’s an immense feeling we all have for him and because we all know how average we were especially on offense our first year," head coach Urban Meyer said of Miller this week. "And if you don’t have that kid, you start your coaching career here at Ohio State with a .500 or 8-5 or 4. If you don’t get momentum, those other great things just don’t happen. It certainly doesn’t happen in that type of time frame. Braxton is an ultimate competitor and he just means a lot to us."

Miller himself was reflective on social media of his career at The Horseshoe this week as it comes to a close.

on 11 warriors there was a post claiming that JT's throw was not overthrown, it was off target. kinda begs the question, did BM run the correct route?

On that one downfield pass? I don't know if they were on the same page, but based on where Miller was running, throwing it to his outside shoulder would have increased chances at a catch. Plus, Vannett missing a block killed the timing and accuracy.

I hope that he's good with having come back and, as UFM says, that he's come a long way learning how to play receiver. I hope that this is a solid springboard into the league and that what he's learned this year helps him play at a higher level than he might've otherwise and that it ultimately lengthens his career. I hope for nothing but the absolute best for this kid.

All that said, from a performance perspective, and I don't blame this at all on him, he has not been able or allowed to do much of anything. I do not ever remember talent even approximating his being more underutilized; not just here, but anywhere. It's not like we even used a racehorse to pull a wagon. We didn't even do that. We tied him to the back of the wagon and just pulled him along. I'm sure that the coaching staff has been frustrated with this, as well, and I'm not really even, as we (well, some) say down South, fussin' at them. I really just want to acknowledge that Braxton Miller is one of the all-time Buckeyes, athletically and at heart, and it's a shame that his time here ran out the way it did. I hope he blows up the fcuking combine and tears up the league. Many thanks for who you are and what you've done, Suh. O-H!
