WR Dan Potokar (official thread) - post #93 fund details

Dan The Man (By Dan's mom)

Hello Everyone!

Thank you so very much for the amazing amount of support, love and prayers for Danny. He is truly an amazing young man, and if anyone can do this, he can!! As his father mentioned in an earlier post, Dan's surgery went well. He is at home resting now and getting ready for the next round of the fight. A brain and bone scan will take place on Thursday, and chemo starts Monday. Thank you all again so very much! Dan the Man's Mom

I am Danny's dad. He has testicular cancer and has already started the recovery process. He had successful surgery today. He will start chemotherapy on Monday. He has a great attitude. He does not want pity, just your prayers and good wishes.:oh::io:

Is there a family history or is this out of the blue if you don't mind me asking?

I would guess I'm probably around your age (I'm 50 and have daughters in their late and mid 20s). I had testicular cancer in 1991 when I was 34 and had the radical orchiectomy surgery, followed by 15 radiation treatments. Sixteen years later, I'm as ornery as ever (just ask the other clowns on this site ), do triathlons, etc. Your son will be just fine...
