WR Dane Sanzenbacher (Official Thread)

Dane, Welcome to the Buckeye family!!!

I'm excited about this, for two reasons:
1. He went to Iowa's camp without an offer... left with an offer...
2. He went to OSU's camp without an offer... left with an offer...

I doubt Kirk and Tress are both wrong... He impressed both staffs and had an offer at camp/shortly after camp... that's impressive!!!

I think we have seen in the past that if the staff offers a kid during the summer, then they really want him. This is not like offering a kid in January hoping to steal one. This kid is a player and I guarantee the staff thinks so too, or else they wouldn't have offered him after camp.

There you go, ladies & gents...

If I recall correctly, I never asked for "my bananas" to be official or anything. I'm flattered that everyone was looking for me, but don't wait around for me to celebrate. :) Sometimes I have other things to do at 11 PM. :wink2:

Yeah that's why I'm so excited about it too. I think Malcolm Jenkins when I think of camp offers.

coachBt: Dane? <hr> Coach: Didn't want to ask you this while the recruiting process was still going on, but now that Dane Sanzenbacher has committed to the Buckeyes, just wondered whether you've seen him in action and any thoughts you have on him.

Some at BN are comparing him to Gonzo (Anthony Gonzales). Any ground for that, in your mind?

coachBt: Dane? <hr>drn- We scrimmaged Central last year. And he is a very good athelte. He showed some quickness, excellent hands, and ran good routes. He definitely IMO has the ability to be plus player on Big Ten level, though not sure he has what it takes to be star. As for Gonzo comparision not sure it works. He is nowhere near the speed Gonzo has. But does have some of the other traits. Even more important IMO is that I hear he is a great kid! Hope that helps. We will scrimmage Central again this year and will put update in your EZ box if you like. </td> </tr></tbody></table>
