WR DeVier Posey (2017 Grey Cup Champion and MVP)

Rivals $

1/23

From the Cincinnati site...more on Posey's trip to UC last weekend. UC, Virginia, Ohio and Cal have offered. He is interested in Ohio State, Florida, Cal, UCLA, Cincinnati, Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville and Ohio.

My Take: DeVier has massive potential and could flourish with college polish. He is a pure athlete with exceptional foot quickness, fluid directional change, and soft hands. He has a long, loping stride and has too much wasted motion right now, but that will be ironed out for even more speed. The potential is there with this prospect but small numbers in this class may hinder his chances in Columbus.

I agree with all of this, and when watching that the one guy that kept coming to mind was Brian Hartline, maybe not as fast as Hartline, but everything else was reminiscent of Hartline's film.

When it comes to WR's this year I really think that we will look to bring in two, and with heavy interest from guys OOS like Tate, Flyod, Green and then instate guys like Scott, Fairchild, Posey, Adams, Woods...I think if we can pull one of the guys off the top list we get one of them and Scott, but if not I think that it will be a battle at camp to get that last WR offer, between Fairchild, Posey, Adams, and Woods...Either way Ohio seems pretty loaded with some pretty good WR prospects next year...

After watching DeVier's film, I would have to say he is the best WR in the state I have seen over Stoneburner, Fairchild, Adams, and all the rest. I haven't seen Cordale Scott yet but I think Posey will get an offer, especially if/when Tate goes elsewhere. Posey just jumped out at me as a bigtime playmaker...he was doing some sick things against some top notch competition.

Boy, what a year in Ohio... It's a shame some of these great WR prospects probably wont get offered, especially if we land one of those OOS studs... I just love the playmaking ability of Posey and Adams... hard to imagine not finding room for these two guys... I would have no rpoblem at all if we strike out on OOS kids, and bring in Scott and Posey at WR... and Adams as an ATH..

I'd take Posey and Scott right now and be perfectly content with our receiver class.

As would I...WR is one position I am not in the least worried about this year. If we strike out on Floyd and Tate, you have Posey, Scott, Adams, and Fairchild all waiting for offers.

The only problem is, if you wait on Floyd and Tate for too long, you might miss out on Posey, who will probably have a tremendous offer sheet before the summer is over.

Floyd's HS is a pipeline to ND so he's probably a long-shot, and Tate is from an area we've had absolutely no success besides White and Springs (both legacies), not to mention Larry Johnson will probably be recruiting him for PSU. Getting one of those guys would be GREAT, but I'm not counting on it.

Posey is a stud so hopefully he gets an offer sooner or later, reguardless of what the OOS kids do...
