Smurf says they have not received all of the grades yet. That seems pretty self explanatory, actually.

Really? Because I went to JUCO and played baseball and transfered...... sending my grades to Ohio State was easy...I finished the classes, got a grade and sent the transcripts, whats the major fucking act of congress that needs to happen here..... or maybe my JUCO education failed me I dunno

Your marks probably didn't need regraded, as often as it takes, to make you eligible. :tinfoil:

Wouldn't mind him getting cleared September 1st and returning to Ohio State in that case:wink2: If he gets cleared after the Aug 31st deadline, can he play for a different Div 1 team THIS season?

I don't think that's gonna happen. Read back a few pages where this was discussed. The xfer will clean his gpa. Coming back, the gpa stays. Hole is too deep here.

Yep, sounds like he not only flunked courses, but failed to drop them before the instructor was required to give him a grade. Probably didn't drop classes because that would have sent a signal to the brain coach. Given the follow up that I'm asked to provide to the AD's office on athletes here at Div II NKU. I'm surprised that OSU didn't know the kid was going to super flunk and step in -- or maybe they did and he ignored the help.

I was under the impression that if Duron did as well as he claims during his time at JuCo that he could in fact return to Ohio State BUT... he'd have to get near a 3.0 GPA to remain eligible. If he isn't eligible though in time for Bama's deadline. You'd think coming here and getting good grades would have to beat going back to JuCo?

I think your education is fine. I just never underestimate the ability of any two bureaucracies to not be able to communicate efficiently.

You know the saying about smoke and fire, right? No smoke here. He's Buckeye alum and that's that.

At Alabama he has no GPA to pull up, only K credits for any course work passed that the counselors consider comparable to courses offered at Alabama.

To come back to Ohio State he has to have enough A's and B's to pull up all the F's on his record-- and at 0.4 it sounds like he had a bunch.

That's why it's often better to drop a course, and not get the F, than continue on and not only not receive a credit, but have an anchor attached to your record.
