WR Grant Schwartz (official thread)

granted i'm not a talent evaluator outside of the ability to drink beer, but for kicks and giggles i was perusing the rivals db. they had grant as a dual threat qb for a time. i watched the available video's of those rated above him, and outside of maybe a few of them being 6'2'' versus 5'11'', i saw nothing that impressed me one bit.

while mad max sometimes overshoots with some of his rankings, i really must say that rivals and scout missed the boat on this one.

i would also like to see rivals gets some chchester fb video so they can move him up in the rankings as well, but that's irrelevant.

commitment

Grant could very well make his decision without taking ANY visits. He's just not sure at this MOMENT. He really doesn't like the stress, or pressure of waiting. That being said, my requirement for him always, is to consider the consequences of ANY decisons he may face in life. How they affect him AND others. Short term and long term. These decisions must be his. Not that he is not influenced by his family but, ultimately, they must be his. Especially this one. You can trust that this WILL NOT drag out. There is more information he must and will get to help in the process. I expect that info to be obtained soon. I know it's hard for you the fan but trust this, it's even harder on the other end. Patience is a virtue that after 47 years I'm only now acheiving...............on a limited basis:biggrin: .

while I would love to have Grant on board as soon as possible, I could not imagine being in his situation, facing such a life-altering decision, and at least not taking the time to see what each school has to offer. he needs to make the most informed decision he possible can, and if that means he has to take his time being thorough in researching the schools that are offering him a new home and a chance to play D1 football for the next 3-5 years, then so be it...

thanks for the input lagunasurf!

Sounds like you are raising him right laguna. Sounds like tOSU if/when he decides to become a Buckeye will get a very well-rounded young man that is grounded. Can't have enough kids like that. I just hope that I do as well to raise my son like that. Keep up the great work, and I hope that Grant will don the Scarlet & Gray soon.

Waiting for those dancing bananas... :groove::groove:

Great news about a kid who sounds like he really has his head on straight.

What he plays in Scarlet & Gray (i.e. which side of the ball) will be a continuing tale I believe.
