WR Jalin Marshall (Edmonton Elks)

He's coming in as a playmaker, sure Urban told him if he's good enough at QB he'll get that shot but think even Jalin knows that playing QB is a longshot.

This. Marshall is not a QB at the next level and I doubt whichever school he picks will let him stay at QB very long. He might get a shot to fulfill a promise, which is fine (I'm all about telling a kid "We see you here but we will give you a shot wherever you would like to try) but we see you at X position." I know from my playing days position moves are never fun (I was moved from QB to RB/WR my sophomore year after I was still short), but you get over it...in Jalin's case, his future NFL career depends on his development as a RB/WR at OSU, so it really is a benefit to him too.

Middletown standout Marshall makes college decision

MIDDLETOWN — One of Middletown High School’s most highly touted football recruits in recent memory has made his college decision.

Junior Jalin Marshall told The Middletown Journal that he will give a verbal committment Monday night to Ohio State University.

Marshall, one of the top-ranked recruits in Ohio and the nation in the Class of 2013, chose the Buckeyes over Notre Dame, Cincinnati and Tennessee.

Marshall, a 6-foot, 190-pound quarterback, rushed for 1,859 yards (7.8 per carry) and 20 touchdowns in 12 games last season, leading the Middies to a Division I playoff berth. He also passed for 782 yards and tossed six TD passes.
