Good question. I barely feel old enough to be a parent and we’re empty nesters come fall… and I have a six-month old grand daughter. We’re kicking around the idea of moving to the Indy area to be closer to the grand kid and our youngest.

The youngest decided on Miami. TOSU was just too big, OU was well… too OU. Illinois was probably in the running but “Crazy” goes to school there… Iowa and Iowa State are in Iowa. Mizzou was SEC so I sure as hell wasn’t going to let that happen. Miami was a good call. They came hard with money too. His kid’s college is paid for by his 529 that he won’t touch.

And congrats to you guys too. It pretty amazing… more so than I would have thought.

Irony of ironies is that I was born not too far from Miami of Ohio. A little town near Eaton.

We’re empty nesters in August when little Jax goes off to school then grandson is due late September so the old lady might keep it together.

It has taken a turn for the surreal. I feel like I just left high school some days

Surreal is an understatement. It’s been a ride. Mrs. Sparcbox may be heading to Indy to go with the kids to look at reception halls this weekend… Life coming at you fast.

And on the topic of ironies… our granddaughter was born on our anniversary. 26th anniversary gift.
