WR Kamryn Babb (Official Thread)

Joel Klatt: "This sport man...This school"
Gus Johnson: "There's something different about these Bucks J"

You're right guys; there's something different about these Bucks

Big props to Klatt and Gus on the broadcast. That was an awesome moment. Joel also said that a lot of folks think college football is broken but here’s proof it’s not. Thrilled for Kamryn. He had many excuses to give up but he kept grinding. You could feel how much that meant for him and the team.

I remember when the clock hit zeroes on the last game I knew I was ever going to play and man, there was ugly crying I'll admit it. For Kam it had to be like that finally getting that call, and that play, in that place, with those guys...
:sniff:
Really the only sport where kids literally are more often than not to be done playing by the time their 18-22. Other sports have req leagues etc but not football.

Such a special moment and I'll admit it almost got to me a bit. If I wasn't so damn happy and had company I probably would've.

Dear lord this has me tearing up to see. Just everything that is great about college football and being a Buckeye. I did my part in explaining to my fellow Buckeye cohorts why that moment was so incredibly special. What a moment for Kam, so happy for him after all he's been through. I'll be 100% honest in saying I didn't think he'd play a snap here after all the injuries but thankfully Kam never thought that.

Edit: I came in to say that was "the moment" we've been waiting for this year. It just was.

I watched our beautiful warrior Lady Bucks beat Nebraska tonight in volleyball 3-1 and immediately after they showed our game vs Indiana again. I did housework and some other things with it on in the background but when it came time for his touchdown I stopped what I was doing. When one of his teammates told him "let it all out brother" I could not contain myself yet again knowing what was happening. Some of it is the military member in me and part of it is the American Patriot that I am. People who aren't from Ohio, yet see us go All-In for Ohio on a daily basis, they just don't understand. I broke down again at this point in the replay and my buddy asked me why I was emotional knowing the outcome of the game already. He will just never understand.

Lord above, please bless this young man and provide for he and his family for eternity because through all his trials and tribulations, he has held your name strong and been a loyal warrior for it all. Amen

I have fought with my faith for a great number of years - since I was sent overseas by Uncle Sam - but I have always hoped what I grew up with was correct. People like this young man and CJ do a great deal to reinforce those thoughts and beliefs. You don't have to think or feel that way but this young man deserves all your respect for how he works and lives. Off my soapbox now.
