I don’t find them remotely comparable players, but love to see Dungy take notice.
Agreed, the only similarities are their names. His son is 4in taller and 25lbs bigger than his dad. And he doesn’t have the speed his dad did. But he does have the great route running ability that pops had, and ability to make tough catches look easy.

I agree that despite the father-son dynamic, Jr doesn't look much at all like Sr at all in his play, though you see Sr's teaching come through in Jr's route running and the way he highpoints catches (among other technical polish that comes from having Sr as his dad). Jr is much bigger and his catch radius is just ridiculous, I mean ridiculous. And he won't run a blazing 40 at the combine, but his game speed is something else...he is a strider and blows goes away in the seam after the catch, so "speed" is a bit relative when it comes to Jr. But on the catch radius, just throw it up and catch it with Jr, its like backyard football with the kid that is supremely talented over the others that you just throw it to every time.

But for all the TD's he gets, you forget how well he works the sidelines and the middle of the field to move the chains for nice chunk catches. Complete WR is the only way to describe it.
