I think OSU wanted Pierre Woods pretty bad.
Woods was the first of the Glenville stars, and he committed to Michigan before John Cooper was fired and Jim Tressel was hired. He would have gone to OSU if JT had been the coach at the time of his commitment. OSU has not lost a Glenville player since then. So, I guess that the "Glenville to OSU" pipeline might be more accurately described as the "Ginn to Tressel" pipeline.

Thanks for the correction - I amended my earlier post.

he may not give any indication where he is leaning, but you can definitely tell who's handling his recruiting. his response is the EXACT same of every other highly recruited Glenville player in Ted Ginn Sr.'s tenure there. he said the exact same thing and played coy exactly like Donte, Teddy, Jamario, Freddie, Darius and all the other great ones from Glenville. and we all know where those kids chose to play...

I made my way up to the Glenville-Harding game last nite. Glenville rolled 34-0.

This may surprise some of you, but Ray is FAST. On a team loaded with burners, he stood out as the quickest guy on the field. He ran a streak on one play and probably had his guy by 10 yards, but the ball was overthrown. He also had a 50ish yard PR TD called back on a stupid blocking foul well behind the play. Eventually he did get a TD in the 4th quarter. Quick pass, burned and juked some guys for a 23(I think) yard TD catch.

He was utilized a lot like Ginn, even lined up in the "Shot-Ginn" a few times and ran similar routes out of it. They liked to get it in his hands on quick passes and let him get the yards. Also returned kicks and played corner.

I don't think they threw at him once, but Warren was certainly not much of a good passing team.

For some reason, he didn't play as much as I thought he would. Maybe it was because of the score and they wanted to get others in. That would be my guess.

I have a hard time believing he's 6 feet tall.

Bucknuts was there, so I'm sure they'll have pics up soon.

EDIT: some guy in the Glenville stands had Donte Whitner's 2004 Fiesta Bowl jersey on. Yes, it was real.
