WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

No, they'd just use us when a player made a mistake that was struggling to move on. Like after Smith fumbles the ball, they'd line us up execution style and let him pummel us with balls at our balls.

Or when Schlegel missed a tackle, they'd line us up 10 yards apart in a line and let him mow us down successively.

I think if anyone has the stamina to play both ways it's Ginn. He doesn't need to be out there every down offense to make an impact. I think some judicious use of him on offense and he could be a full time CB. He doesn't need to be stalking blocking on every down, or be out on every play to impact the game. There's a lot of uknowns that could tip this one or the other. If we getting a running game next year like buckeyefrom**** said, who steps out of the pack at CB, is Santonio back next season, whether we can get some leads big enough to pull him from one side of the ball in the second half.

Now, if the other team tries a fake punt, and throws a pass, or runs (or tries to run) GINN ISN'T PLAYING DEFENSE! He's just an Innocent by-standing punt returner. But I hope he intercepts on their ass! cuz he'll take it back on them!

The thing that scares me about this bet is that they have a month to practice!!! That gives him time to get reps. Plus they don't have a game or a season to worry about. It's all or nothing. I'm staying away from this bet. Tressel has been very unpredictable the last few weeks. He may get Ginn on defense just for the exposure.

No on the bowl game.
Yes for at least nickel formation next year, tho I would support him as a starter at CB if we landa RB like Gwaltney that takes some of the pressure off of Ginn to make plays.
